NOTICE BOARD

The Town of LeRay currently has vacancies on both the Planning Board and the Zoning Board of Appeals. The Town is seeking individuals interested in serving the community by participating in local land use and zoning review. 

Applicants must be at least 18 years of age.

Interested individuals may contact Planning Board Chairperson Deborah Biondolillo at planningboardchair@townofleray.org or submit a letter of interest to the Town of LeRay, 8650 LeRay Street, Evans Mills, NY 13637.  Please ensure to state which Board you are interested in serving on.

LOCATION: 27600/942 LaFave Road, LeRay, New York

This site is associated with National Grid’s Black River–Beaver River 115 kV Transmission Rebuild Project, including the proposed marshalling yard on LaFave Road.

A marshalling yard is a temporary construction staging area. For this project, the site is to be used for construction-related materials and vehicle parking during the transmission line rebuild project. After construction, the site is to be demobilized and restored to pre-construction conditions.

The Town of LeRay is pleased to share an upcoming Paint Recycling Collection Event hosted in partnership with DANC and GreenSheen. This event provides residents with a safe and environmentally responsible option for disposing of unwanted paint. Pre-registration is required to participate.

This report outlines the Town’s efforts over the past year to manage stormwater, reduce pollutants, and protect local waterways in compliance with state and federal regulations.

The Town of LeRay has received their 2024 NYS Department of Health Annual Drinking Water Quality Report for Consolidated Water Districts 1, 2, & 4, from the Development Authority of the North Country.
