Free Paint ONLY Collection Event!

The Town of LeRay is pleased to share an upcoming Paint Recycling Collection Event hosted in partnership with DANC and GreenSheen. This event provides residents with a safe and environmentally responsible option for disposing of unwanted paint. Pre-registration is required to participate.
Grievance Day is Approaching, Are You Prepared?

Grievance Day is held once a year to allow property owners to officially contest their property tax assessment before the Board of Assessment Reivew (BAR). It is the last opportunity for homeowners to challenge the valuation on the tentative roll before it becomes final.

Dog Census Notice (April–May 2026)

The Town of LeRay will be conducting a dog census from April 1 through May 31, 2026. All dogs 4 months or older must be licensed. Avoid additional fees by ensuring your dog is properly licensed before the census begins.
Important Tax Notice

Effective January 2026, the Town of LeRay will ONLY collect full payments and 1st installments. 2nd and 3rd installments will no longer be accepted at the Town Office.
You can mail or bring these installment payments in person to the Jefferson County Treasurer's Office, located at 175 Arsenal Street, Watertown, NY 13601. They can be reached at (315) 785-3074.

Annual Drinking Water Quality Report

The Town of LeRay has received their 2024 NYS Department of Health Annual Drinking Water Quality Report for Consolidated Water Districts 1, 2, & 4, from the Development Authority of the North Country.
